Job Overview
The Medical Transcriptionist position involves assisting physicians and other medical personnel with administrative tasks, primarily transcribing physicians' dictated notes and medical reports into electronic medical records (EMR). Additional duties include reviewing and editing documents when necessary to ensure accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Convert physicians' notes and reports into EMR format accurately.
- Facilitate the digitization of patient data from paper while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Oversee medical record management, including retention policies, destruction, and compliance.
- Handle insurance-related requests and approvals for treatments.
- Document patient visits, treatments, and referrals meticulously.
- Provide administrative assistance such as managing test results and patient documentation for physicians.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance when managing patient information requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of two years of relevant progressive work experience.
- Skilled at transcribing physician dictations into software or information systems.
- Good understanding of medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- Proficient in both written and spoken Arabic language.
