Role Overview
The Medical Records Technician will be responsible for maintaining, organizing, updating, and retrieving medical records with precision and confidentiality, ensuring accurate documentation of patient data.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate reports pertaining to births, deaths, admissions, and discharges.
- Carry out coding, indexing, and retrieval of medical records.
- Maintain up-to-date patient statistics and monitor bed occupancy.
- Collaborate with physicians and various departments to update records as needed.
- Manage all departmental paperwork and ensure proper maintenance.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Degree in Medical Records.
- Knowledge of ICD coding is essential.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience of one year or more is preferred; however, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
