Role Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position involves providing both clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers to ensure exceptional care delivery to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a community liaison connecting nursing, sales, wellness, and leadership stakeholders within facilities.
- Monitor facility needs attentively and communicate relevant information back to the team.
- Coordinate patient care among specialists, therapy services, home health, and other support services.
- Support front desk functions including appointment scheduling and management.
- Conduct monthly outreach to residents and their families to assess needs and facilitate care coordination aligned with provider care plans.
- Link patients to regional and local social support resources.
- Welcome patients, their families, and staff warmly and professionally.
- Take vital signs, room patients if clinic-based, and prepare them for visits.
- Facilitate post-visit follow-up coordination.
- Administer all required diagnostic testing and ensure quality assurance monitoring is completed effectively.
Qualifications
- Personable individual who enjoys engaging with people.
- Highly organized with strong communication skills.
- Prior experience as a medical assistant in healthcare settings, ideally within geriatrics or senior care.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Positive demeanor coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Passionate about support and care for others.
- Strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
