Job Overview
Azit Group Pty Ltd is currently recruiting for full-time positions at a meat processing plant located in Cooma, New South Wales. These roles cater to workers eligible for second and third extensions of the Working Holiday Visa. The facility operates on fixed shifts from Monday to Friday, offering accommodation arrangements and support for transportation as needed.
Positions Available
- Process Worker: Shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Duties include trimming and slicing meat, packing and sorting products, as well as light cleaning and general labor tasks. Comprehensive training is provided.
- Cleaner: Shift from 4:00 PM to midnight, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities involve cleaning and sanitizing the boning room, surface cleaning equipment and machinery, disinfecting floors, tables, and cutting boards, disassembling and washing tools, and managing waste disposal. Training is provided.
Compensation and Benefits
- Morning shift pay rate: $31.46 per hour
- Afternoon shift pay rate: $35.24 per hour
- Superannuation and overtime pay are additional
- Accommodation provided at a weekly cost ranging from $210 to $250, with arrangements handled by the employer
- Transport assistance is available if required
- Fortnightly wage payments
- Hi-Vis vests and rubber boots provided for work
Eligibility and Requirements
- Applicants must have received the Q fever vaccination
- Previous experience in food processing is preferred but not mandatory
- Having a driver’s license and owning a vehicle is advantageous
- Applicants can hold various visa types including Working Holiday, Student, Business, Permanent Resident, or Citizenship
