About the Role
This opportunity is for a STEM QA Reviewer focused on Materials Engineering. The role is a contract engagement with remote flexibility and is intended for specialists who can assess technical problem sets, validate solutions, and improve the quality of AI training data.
The engagement runs for 3 weeks, from 6/5 to 6/25, and offers compensation of $90 per hour.
What You’ll Do
- Review STEM problem prompts and check that the reference answers are correct, precise, and easy to understand.
- Examine the scoring approach and judge whether the evaluation criteria are strong and reliable.
- Study model agent trajectories and summarize the strongest and weakest rollouts.
- Use structured review templates to give clear feedback that helps raise training data quality.
- Choose problems within your area of expertise and independently complete reviews on the HFI (Surveyor) platform.
- Decide whether each item should be accepted, revised, or rejected, and explain the reasoning behind the decision.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to independently confirm ground-truth solutions for graduate-level materials problems.
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to communicate findings clearly in writing.
- Availability to complete about 2.5 reviews each week, with roughly 2 to 4 hours required per review.
