Role overview
The Marketing & PR Communications Officer will work full time from the Doha, Qatar office and will support AKTI’s brand and business goals through coordinated marketing and public relations activity. The position focuses on shaping external communications, maintaining media relationships, and keeping the company’s messaging consistent across channels.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver marketing and public relations initiatives that align with the organisation’s objectives.
- Write, edit, and share press releases and other external communication materials.
- Handle incoming media queries and arrange interviews when needed.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with local and regional media contacts.
- Prepare communication strategies, corporate messages, and campaign-aligned content.
- Manage content across digital and traditional communication platforms.
- Ensure that all outward-facing communication reflects a consistent brand voice.
- Support communications for events and related promotional activities.
- Track media coverage and public sentiment, and report on communication results and KPIs.
- Work with internal teams to support marketing campaigns and broader communications efforts.
Requirements
- Ability to design and manage strategic communication plans, messaging, and campaign execution.
- Strong public relations and media relations skills, including reputation management and media partnership building.
- Experience preparing press releases and other external communications with clarity and accuracy.
- Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is considered a strong advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated sector is helpful.
- Good organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage several deadlines at once in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfort using marketing and communications tools such as social platforms, CMS tools, email marketing software, and media monitoring systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work respectfully with varied stakeholders.
