Job description
About the Company
Ripe is a well-known Australian label focused on maternity and nursing wear. The brand creates clothing designed to help mothers feel stylish, comfortable, and confident.
Role Overview
Ripe is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to take ownership of brand growth, campaign direction, and creative output while also leading a small group of direct reports. This is a strategic and practical marketing role for someone who enjoys fashion, storytelling, and delivering measurable business impact.
In this position, you will shape the overall marketing approach across brand, digital, and social channels. You will help ensure that every customer interaction, whether through retail, eCommerce, content, or creative work, feels consistent with the Ripe brand and supports commercial goals.
The role suits a marketer who likes switching between planning and delivery. You will set direction, but you will also remain involved in campaign execution, content development, digital marketing, and creative projects. The business is collaborative and in-house, so the role requires initiative, ownership, and flexibility.
The business is considering applicants who can work 4 to 5 days per week, depending on experience and skill set.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and steer the marketing and campaign roadmap, including seasonal brand activity and promotional planning.
- Set the approach for digital marketing across eCommerce, paid media, SEO, SEM, email, and customer acquisition, with a focus on measurable business results.
- Direct the social media plan, including content calendars, creative guidance, audience engagement, and channel performance.
- Manage photoshoots and creative production through every stage, from concept development to final post-production.
- Create engaging copy and content for email, website, and brand communications that aligns with the company’s voice and visual style.
- Monitor budgets, review performance data, and refine marketing activity to improve outcomes.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a small team of direct reports.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant brings senior-level marketing or brand management experience, ideally from fashion, lifestyle, retail, or other consumer-focused businesses.
You should have a solid background in integrated marketing and campaign leadership, along with hands-on experience building digital strategies and managing performance across eCommerce, paid media, email, and social platforms.
Strong writing and communication ability is essential, together with a sharp eye for brand consistency, tone, and detail. Experience in photoshoot planning, creative direction, and working with stakeholders is also important.
You should be organised, analytical, and able to lead confidently while still staying close to the work. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud is helpful, though not mandatory.
This role is best suited to someone who is comfortable both shaping strategy and contributing to the day-to-day execution of marketing activity. Tasks may include planning campaigns, reviewing analytics, directing creative work, writing briefs, creating content, and collaborating across teams.
Working Arrangement
This is a full-time, onsite position based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Additional Information
Applicants are asked to include a folio with their submission.
