Overview
We are seeking an assertive, well-organized Marketing Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract focused on managing a significant portfolio of B2B events in the UK. This pivotal role involves leading comprehensive marketing strategies for two major events, including a flagship exhibition attracting thousands of attendees and hundreds of exhibitors.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee complete marketing campaigns for two UK events across email, digital channels, social media, websites, print materials, and partnership collaborations.
- Drive audience growth, registration increases, and target seniority levels.
- Develop and manage multi-channel communications, including copywriting and content scheduling.
- Provide hands-on support during event days onsite.
- Work closely with internal teams such as content, sales, digital, and data specialists.
- Maintain and nurture relationships with key industry partners.
- Optionally supervise a Marketing Assistant.
- Handle a secondary, smaller co-located campaign with distinct website, messaging, and registration processes.
Candidate Profile
- At least one year of experience as a Marketing Manager in events marketing or an equivalent position.
- Strong expertise in exhibition or event marketing.
- Capable campaign planner adept at starting independently and efficiently.
- Exceptional copywriting abilities for emails, websites, social media, and print.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Highly organized, deadline-oriented, and skilled at juggling multiple tasks.
- Effective and composed communicator, comfortable interacting with partners and stakeholders.
- Independent working style with a willingness to seek support when necessary.
- Candidates with B2C experience considered only if they possess solid exhibitions/events marketing background.

You will become part of a supportive and industrious marketing team comprising a strong Marketing Assistant (soon to progress), a Senior Marketing Executive with specialized sector knowledge, and centralized digital and data support. The management approach promotes collaboration, autonomy, and success, while the broader company atmosphere is fast-paced, energetic, and recognized for award-winning marketing efforts.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary of £50,000 per year.
- Performance-related bonus linked to clearly defined KPIs.
- Flexible work arrangement with three days required in the London office (Monday mandatory; Tuesday/Wednesday optional) and two days remote work.
- Opportunity for domestic travel to event locations throughout the UK as necessary.
Additional Details
- Preferred start period is late August or early September, with the latest possible start in October.
- A comprehensive handover process will be provided.
- Potential exists for transition to a permanent role as the organization expands.
