Role Overview
The Marketing Manager will join the Shaw Manufacturing Team to promote the Shaw brand and enhance demand through the dealer network, commercial sales team, and Shaw retail centers. Reporting to the VP Sales and based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, this role will focus on translating business goals into effective marketing strategies, content, and sales tools to support both sales initiation and completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support social media management across Shaw Brick, Shaw Renewables, and Shaw Resources, including content calendar creation, posting, audience engagement, and performance tracking.
- Maintain consistent digital content across multiple channels to ensure brand cohesiveness and continuous delivery of relevant materials.
- Manage divisional websites by updating product details, imagery, and coordinating SEO improvements with internal teams and external web partners.
- Develop and sustain marketing collateral such as brochures, sell sheets, presentations, and point-of-sale materials for various sales channels.
- Manage accurate and current technical data sheets containing product specifications and documentation.
- Coordinate the production, revision, and distribution of product catalogs across divisions.
- Provide marketing assistance for dealer trade activation, including programs, merchandising assets, flyer content, pricing layouts, and cooperative advertising.
- Support the commercial sales team with customized campaigns and sales materials primarily targeted at commercial and project customers.
- Support Shaw retail centers with in-store promotional signage, merchandising, and marketing materials.
- Plan and execute trade shows and events, including preparing booth displays, signage, and promotional collateral.
- Ensure uniform branding, messaging, and visual identity across all divisions and sales channels.
- Collaborate and manage relationships with external agencies, designers, printers, web partners, and vendors.
- Monitor, report, and analyze marketing activities' effectiveness to refine future marketing strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, business, or related disciplines, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five years of marketing experience, preferably in building materials, manufacturing, construction, or distribution/dealer settings.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, website upkeep, and content creation.
- Experience creating sales and technical documents such as brochures, catalogs, presentations, sell sheets, and data sheets.
- Experience supporting multiple sales channels like dealer networks, commercial sales, or retail operations is advantageous.
- Strong project management and organizational capabilities to juggle multiple divisions, channels, deadlines, and stakeholders efficiently.
- Familiarity with marketing and design software including Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms, social media scheduling, and analytics tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication—both written and verbal—along with visual presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams, leadership, internal teams, and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong brand stewardship and comfort analyzing performance data to guide decisions.
- Self-motivated with a pragmatic approach to move from strategic planning to execution.
