Job description
About the Role
Asana seeks a Marketing Lead for the UK and Ireland region (UKI) to spearhead regional marketing initiatives. This role requires a marketer with the capabilities of a mini Chief Marketing Officer for the region—shaping strategy, aligning go-to-market priorities, partnering closely with sales and customer teams, and developing programs that both expand pipeline and elevate Asana’s market presence.
Success in this position calls for excellent commercial judgment, sharp prioritization skills, and an ability to convert global business objectives into tangible local market opportunities. The incumbent will balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, from selecting key accounts and segments to managing campaigns, events, executive programs, and subsequent sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development of the UKI marketing strategy by setting priorities and budget allocations in close coordination with UKI sales leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Translate broad business goals, market trends, target accounts, and pipeline prospects into focused and actionable regional marketing programs.
- Collaborate as a strategic partner with sales and customer-facing teams to ensure marketing activities target the right accounts, segments, and expansion opportunities aligned with pipeline objectives.
- Plan and deliver a multifaceted, event-driven marketing mix including flagship events, executive programs, customer engagement moments, webinars, partner activations, and account-based marketing plays.
- Serve as the regional lead for flagship events like the Work Innovation Summit in London by working with central event teams and UKI sales leaders to optimize regional strategy, boost sales involvement, enable key account participation, and guarantee effective follow-up leading to pipeline growth.
- Design and implement tailored marketing programs for strategic accounts in partnership with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and sales leaders to drive strong account engagement and advancement.
- Shape Asana’s and Asana AI’s brand and messaging in the UKI market through targeted storytelling, executive involvement, partnerships, and regional activations.
- Manage all aspects of regional marketing execution from planning and stakeholder collaboration to logistics, campaign launch, performance reporting, and ongoing optimization.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates curiosity about artificial intelligence tools and emerging technologies with willingness to adopt them to increase productivity, collaboration, or decision-making effectiveness.
- Possesses extensive experience in field marketing, regional marketing, demand generation, or integrated marketing within B2B SaaS or enterprise technology sectors.
- Has a proven history of creating marketing programs that align with sales priorities, generate pipeline, and influence account progression.
- Experience managing or influencing marketing strategies in the UK, Ireland, or similarly mature B2B markets.
- Exhibits strong commercial acumen with ability to distill broad business priorities into specific regional focus areas, trade-offs, and actionable plans.
- Highly effective collaborator with exceptional partnership skills, comfortable working alongside senior sales leaders, Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience developing account-based or high-touch marketing campaigns for key strategic accounts.
- Proficient in event leadership, capable of managing flagship regional events while overseeing operational details to ensure impactful outcomes.
- Adaptable in operating at multiple levels—from regional strategic planning and stakeholder management to detailed campaign execution.
Work Environment
The role is office-based in London with a hybrid work schedule: typical in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Remote work is generally permitted on Wednesdays. Friday remote work depends on role requirements and team agreements. Specific in-office details will be provided during the recruitment process.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated base salary range is £93,000 to £119,000 per year, with actual compensation determined based on market conditions and individual qualifications evaluated during interviewing. Compensation may also include equity and additional benefits. The company maintains pay equity audits to ensure fairness.
- Comprehensive mental health, wellness, and fitness support
