About the Role
The Marketing Coordinator at ESPN plays a central role in supporting the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that increase ESPN's brand visibility, promote its documentaries, podcasts, and television series, and engage global sports audiences. This position requires coordination across multiple departments to maintain clear and consistent brand messaging and drive original content marketing efforts across all platforms. Ideal candidates will be creative, attentive to detail, and deeply knowledgeable about sports and contemporary culture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the design and rollout of extensive brand marketing campaigns aligned with ESPN's strategic goals and audience preferences.
- Manage and coordinate marketing activities such as events, promotions, sponsorships, and partnerships to ensure smooth execution and brand alignment.
- Assist in crafting marketing materials including presentations, promotional assets, and digital content following brand standards.
- Perform market research and analyze consumer behavior trends to uncover opportunities for brand expansion and engagement.
- Collaborate with creative, digital, social media, and content teams to develop high-quality marketing collateral.
- Help monitor and evaluate marketing campaign outcomes and offer data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
- Support the Brand Marketing Associate Director by overseeing relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Keep current with the latest industry trends, technological advances, and best practices in brand marketing and sports entertainment.
Qualifications
- At least 3 months of experience in marketing, brand, or sports marketing roles.
- A strong enthusiasm for marketing and passion for engaging sports fans.
- Proven experience in executing marketing campaigns targeting customer acquisition, retention, and engagement with measurable outcomes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to thrive in fast-changing work environments.
- Keen interest in the evolving sports media landscape.
- Comfortable working with data analysis in collaboration with research teams.
- Exceptional teamwork and strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this New York-based position is between 56600 and 75900 USD annually, calculated on a 40-hour workweek, though weekly hours may vary with business demands. The final offer will consider internal equity, location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include bonuses or long-term incentive units.
