Job description
Role overview
GHD is looking for a driven Marketing and Communications Advisor to join its team, with the position available in Perth, Adelaide, or Darwin. This role suits someone with solid experience in marketing and communications who performs well in fast-moving settings, works comfortably with different stakeholders, and enjoys delivering events and campaigns that make a strong impact.
In this position, you will help strengthen GHD’s brand visibility and engagement across the region by leading company-created events, handling conference sponsorships, and supporting wider strategic marketing work.
What you’ll do
- Work with colleagues across the APAC marketing group to design and roll out campaigns that support regional growth priorities.
- Lead bespoke events from initial planning through to final delivery.
- Oversee regional conference sponsorships and industry memberships, making sure they support strategy and deliver value.
- Work with subject matter experts to create speaking opportunities, as well as related content and social media activity that lifts GHD’s profile.
- Prepare regional content such as project case studies, award entries, and social announcements.
- Assist with internal communications focused on project stories and people stories.
- Represent the brand and ensure all marketing materials follow GHD’s brand standards and writing style.
- Use Salesforce and other marketing platforms to monitor activity and assess results.
What you need to bring
You should have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline, along with at least 7 years of marketing experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management and sponsorships, plus a good grasp of digital marketing, social media, and content development.
You’ll also need strong communication skills, confidence in working with stakeholders, and the ability to manage projects effectively. The role calls for someone who can work independently as well as contribute well in a team environment. Experience with marketing automation tools is important, and Salesforce knowledge is preferred.
Success traits
This role will suit someone who thinks strategically, puts clients first, adapts quickly, shows curiosity, and takes initiative. Strong people skills, a collaborative mindset, commercial understanding, and an interest in innovation will also help you do well.
