About the Role
Join the fast-moving and proactive YouTube Trust & Safety team, dedicated to creating a secure environment for users, creators, and viewers globally. This role supports the Turkish market and wider EMEA region to identify risks and trends, help guide enforcement practices, and oversee safe content policies in line with community guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor intelligence feeds and collaborate with multiple teams to spot abuse patterns and sensitive developments in Turkey.
- Manage escalations related to sensitive content and support readiness for elections or other significant events.
- Coordinate with global and regional stakeholders to maintain consistent election support and enforcement approaches.
- Lead risk assessments and threat triage, prepare action plans informed by market dynamics, acting as the main liaison for escalations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least four years’ background in Trust and Safety, public policy, Turkish policy, international law, risk analysis, or related disciplines.
- Project management and data analytics experience.
- Fluency in both English and Turkish is essential to effectively manage regional relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant specialty.
- Familiarity with or education in machine learning.
- Proficient in SQL, dashboard creation, data transformation, visualization, or scripting/programming languages such as Python.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence across various organizational levels.
Additional Details
The position involves reviewing challenging video content, supporting enforcement in line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines. Compensation varies based on skills, experience and education. In Ireland, the salary range is €84,000 to €86,000 annually, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and additional benefits.
