About the Role
Join our team as the key liaison for marine human resources across a designated fleet. This pivotal position supports the Marine HR Managers by facilitating workforce recruitment, training, and strategic staffing to ensure ship operations are efficiently managed with qualified personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as the main contact for all marine HR issues related to assigned vessels.
- Conduct monthly reviews of crew needs and collaborate with manning offices to meet recruitment demands.
- Evaluate and shortlist applications, performing thorough background checks and verifying certificates.
- Manage crew rotations and pooling to optimize manpower deployment on ships.
- Work alongside fleet and technical management teams to allocate vessel management personnel adhering to STCW regulations and company standards.
- Keep meticulous records of new hires and rejoining crew for compliance and planning audits.
- Ensure all vessels comply with Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) and company manning standards.
- Organize briefing sessions for senior officers and coordinate training programs for promotion candidates.
- Review crew performance appraisals to identify potential candidates for career progression.
- Communicate company procedures and compliance requirements to worldwide manning offices.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess at least a diploma, preferably in a related field.
- Have a minimum of three years of experience in marine human resources either onboard or shore-based.
- Demonstrate solid knowledge of marine HR systems and maritime operational contexts.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Be proficient with IT tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email platforms.
- Show ability to work comfortably in culturally diverse settings.
- Previous sailing experience with the company is favorable but not essential.
