Role Overview

The Managing Director will take full responsibility for the hotel’s overall performance, guest journey, brand standards, and day-to-day operations. This senior leader will shape the property’s culture, align business priorities with ownership and corporate teams, and represent the hotel within the surrounding community. The role is focused on delivering profitability, exceptional service, and long-term brand strength.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the direction for the hotel and make sure its vision is reflected consistently in both guest experiences and associate interactions.
• Develop, coach, and retain a strong, diverse team while encouraging engagement, growth, and collaboration across functions.
• Manage financial planning and operational strategy, including budgets, forecasts, and capital improvement plans to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Lead sales, marketing, and revenue efforts that support stronger occupancy, revenue growth, and brand awareness.
• Continuously improve service quality, standards, and innovation to deliver outstanding guest satisfaction at every stage of the stay.
• Maintain productive relationships with ownership, business partners, and community stakeholders, strengthening the hotel’s local and international reputation.
• Ensure the property remains compliant with all legal, safety, quality, cleanliness, and brand requirements.
• Advance sustainability and responsible hospitality initiatives that support environmental stewardship and the company’s wider values.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has senior leadership experience as a Managing Director or General Manager in luxury hospitality, ideally with prior pre-opening exposure. They should be a confident strategist who can manage complex operations, solve problems effectively, and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. A strong service mindset, commitment to brand integrity, and the ability to inspire teams with purpose are essential.
