Organizational Overview
Join one of Saudi Arabia’s leading healthcare providers, operating 26 hospitals and multiple medical centers. This extensive network serves a diverse population including active military personnel, veterans, their families, and civilians referred from other health systems. With mental health now a national focus, the organization is launching a Center of Excellence in Mental Health (MHCoE) dedicated to advancing mental health services.
- The MHCoE will function as the central authority on military-related mental health care within the network.
- It will spearhead the creation of clinical service frameworks, policies, and standardized care pathways.
- Provide specialized tertiary mental health services tailored to military-specific conditions such as trauma, PTSD, addiction, geriatric mental health, and intricate psychiatric cases.
- Manage workforce training, certification, and continuous professional development.
- Direct infrastructure and technological advancements across facilities.
- Encourage research innovation with an emphasis on military and digital mental health solutions.
- Standardize mental health data reporting and analytics.
- Coordinate integration of mental health services across the healthcare network.
About the Role
We seek an experienced mental health executive to co-lead this pioneering center as Joint Managing Director, also acting as a senior advisor on autism care. This leadership role offers a unique chance to establish a world-class mental health institution in Riyadh.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as an executive coach to the Managing Director, sharing joint responsibility for MHCoE’s development and operations.
- Formulate and execute strategic plans promoting mental health excellence.
- Assess and improve performance of the mental health network.
- Conduct comprehensive audits covering care delivery, clinical operations, research, communications, and outreach.
- Lead transformation efforts to optimize psychiatry departments, enhancing operational efficiency and patient experience.
- Establish international collaborations with leading mental health organizations.
- Create and monitor KPIs to track progress and outcomes.
- Support executive leadership to align mental health services organization-wide.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Proven leadership in developing or managing recognized mental health centers or multisite excellence programs.
- Medical psychiatrist (preferred) or clinical psychologist specializing in military mental health.
- At least 15 years of leadership experience in mental health operations, including 8+ years in senior roles.
- Expertise in clinical care models, financial oversight, and healthcare regulations.
- Track record of strategic planning impacting efficiency and patient outcomes positively.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership capabilities to develop and inspire teams.
- Data-driven approach with experience managing large, complex healthcare entities.
- Adaptability and resilience in dynamic healthcare settings.
- Dedication to fostering local leadership via coaching and knowledge transfer.
