Role Overview
As the Managing Director for Africa at ESCO Group LLC, you will oversee the division's commercial and operational performance across the region. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Global Sales, you will be accountable for the full profit and loss responsibilities, steering growth by leading sales, fabrication, and service functions.
You will drive market expansion by innovating in established and new sales channels, while cultivating strong industry partnerships to enhance competitive positioning within the sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to increase market share throughout Africa, incorporating both direct and distributor sales models to unlock potential growth avenues.
- Provide stabilizing and motivating leadership to build resilient, high-performance teams that align with Weir’s core values and objectives.
- Maintain customer-centric focus by analyzing market trends, regulations, and customer requirements to enhance satisfaction through customized sales and service plans.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial outcomes while promoting cross-department collaboration and operational efficiency to meet commercial targets.

Qualifications and Competencies
- Extensive leadership experience with commercial accountability in mining, construction, or related sectors; proven proficiency in managing complex, multi-dimensional operations.
- Strategic thinker with the capacity to craft and implement sales strategies, evaluate investments, and manage greenfield projects alongside capital and facility optimization initiatives, underpinned by robust financial know-how.
- Experienced in managing global customer and supplier relationships, with expertise in inter-company value chains and distributor-driven sales frameworks.
- A visionary leader capable of uniting teams under a clear strategic direction, driving performance through key metrics, and fostering innovation for sustainable growth.
