Job description
Role overview
This position is focused on directing supply chain planning across wafer fabrication and back-end manufacturing. The role carries ownership of production wafer planning, contributes to new product introduction (NPI) transfer and ramp plans, and helps maintain uninterrupted supply to satisfy customer requirements. It acts as an important link between engineering, NPI, and production, while partnering with the Senior Director, Global Supply Chain to strengthen a resilient, insight-led planning function.
Key responsibilities
- Take end-to-end responsibility for production wafer planning, including a smooth transition of ownership from the current team.
- Work with the NPI function on product movement and ramp-up planning so engineering needs align cleanly with manufacturing schedules.
- Contribute to sales and operations planning by coordinating demand, supply, and execution with the sales team.
- Coordinate planning with fab and back-end suppliers to keep supply flowing and support customer demand.
- Manage capacity planning to improve throughput and optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Spot possible supply risks early and propose backup actions and mitigation measures.
- Improve planning performance through analytics, automation, and better use of planning systems.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of supply chain planning experience within the semiconductor sector, including exposure to fab planning, back-end supplier management, and capacity planning.
- A solid grasp of semiconductor manufacturing workflows, covering wafer fabrication and back-end operations.
- Prior involvement in NPI transfers and production ramp-up execution.
- Ability to work with data analytics and programming tools is a plus.
- Experience with advanced planning systems (APS) will be considered an advantage.
- Strong coordination and communication abilities, with a proven track record of working across engineering, operations, and sales teams.
- A bachelor’s degree or above in supply chain management, engineering, or a closely related field.
