  • Create and produce social-first content tailored for Bon Appétit and Epicurious audiences.
  • Develop innovative social storytelling concepts addressing trending and newsworthy topics.
  • Design and implement content promotion plans for stories and recipes, overseeing creative asset generation.
  • Manage relationships with external creators, editorial contributors, and production partners as needed.
  • Oversee daily social media scheduling, posting, and management of the editorial calendar, including coordinated social video distribution.
  • Collaborate with consumer marketing, consumer revenue, and other departments to support subscriber growth and retention through social channels.
  • Partner with commercial revenue teams to execute and manage sponsored content campaigns.
  • Conduct recurring social analytics and reporting, sharing insights with editorial teams to inform future strategy.
  • Work with culinary editors to optimize recipe and story positioning for social media visibility.
  • Engage with social media specialists across Condé Nast to exchange knowledge and deploy innovative social tactics.
  • Assist in training and mentoring editorial staff to develop their social media content creation capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent editorial judgement with strong writing and reporting proficiency.
  • Highly organized with acute attention to detail and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Data-driven approach to idea generation, writing, and content curation.
  • Effective communicator, proactive in cross-departmental collaboration including Art, Photo, Test Kitchen, Social, and Audience Development teams, plus freelancers.
  • Deep culinary knowledge; professional cooking or baking experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with reliable source identification and commitment to factual accuracy.
  • Keen interest in digital culture and contemporary trends.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in journalism, writing, or related editorial roles within food media.
  • Proficient with digital CMS platforms, Figma, Dash Social, project management tools like AirTable, and K4.
