Manager / Senior Manager, Project Management Office - Neurovascular APAC

Overview

This position functions as the key regional leader responsible for steering and implementing strategic initiatives for Stryker's Neurovascular (NV) business across the APAC region. The role focuses on translating broad strategies into actionable, measurable programs that significantly contribute to market growth. It involves managing complex, cross-functional, and cross-country projects that play a crucial role in achieving ambitious growth goals. The incumbent is expected to instill a culture of high-caliber project execution and operates with considerable autonomy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Head APAC NV strategic projects in partnership with the APAC Leadership Team (APLT), Business Development & Strategy divisions, and country-specific teams, including globalization and regional initiatives.
• Identify and implement strategic projects spanning multiple functions and countries that enhance revenues, improve profit margins, or build core capabilities for future growth, such as multi-market commercial projects and go-to-market strategy assessments.
• Construct comprehensive business cases with defined, measurable growth targets to obtain investment approvals.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of initiatives.
• Work with the APLT to prioritize projects that offer maximum value to the business.
• Drive project execution aligned with established milestones and timelines.

• Develop and formalize the regional Project Management Office (PMO) function.
• Design, deploy, and continuously refine the PMO strategy, methodologies, standards, and tools to support the complexities of NV APAC's growth.
• Introduce and uphold PMO best practices and governance frameworks ensuring consistent and scalable project delivery and accountability.
• Enhance PMO capabilities and governance across various APAC markets.
• Collaborate with the global NV PMO team and other regional franchise PMOs to foster project management excellence and gain competitive advantage.
• Advocate for uniformity and excellence across all projects.

Candidate Profile

• 7 to 10+ years of experience in project management, PMO consultancy, or business transformation, preferably in MedTech, Life Sciences, or Healthcare industries.
• Successful history of leading multifaceted regional projects and managing cross-functional teams within matrix organizational structures to achieve measurable results.
• Comprehensive understanding of the APAC MedTech and healthcare landscape, including market and regulatory environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or Engineering from a reputable institution, with graduate qualifications considered an advantage.
• Combination of strategic acumen and superior execution skills.
• Excellent prioritization abilities paired with a growth-oriented mindset.
• Experience working in diverse and matrixed multinational companies.
• Proven success in steering regional initiatives and influencing without formal authority.
• Strong data-driven analytical approach, exceptional communication, and stakeholder management competencies.
• Ability to independently manage complex issues with minimal leadership intervention.
• Advanced knowledge and use of project and program management tools.
