About the Role
Young NTUC is the youth arm of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC). Founded in April 2005, it has since expanded to more than 150,000 members who are 35 years old and below. The team supports young people across their professional and personal growth by offering meaningful activities and opportunities. Working with a wide network of partners, including unions, companies and government agencies, Young NTUC delivers support across career discovery and navigation, workplace protection, leadership development, mental well-being, and broader personal development.
What You Will Do
- Create and roll out outreach plans and engagement initiatives that raise awareness of NTUC Youth programmes and encourage stronger youth membership.
- Build and sustain relationships with a range of internal and external partners, while coordinating different formats of engagement to reach young people effectively.
- Work closely with the Programmes & Partnerships team and the Membership team to ensure shared priorities and smooth collaboration.
- Handle the day-to-day running of assigned NTUC Youth initiatives, including relationship management, programme coordination, meeting secretariat duties, reporting, budgeting, and monitoring outcomes.
- Take ownership as project lead for cross-functional workstreams and drive end-to-end delivery of key initiatives.
- Support other outreach and engagement-related duties as needed.
Requirements
- A degree in any field.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong ability in project coordination, resource planning and stakeholder management, with the capacity to juggle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to work some weekday evenings and weekends.
- Comfort with travelling to different locations, including various IHLs.
- Solid understanding of youth issues, especially those affecting IHL students and first-jobbers.
