About the Role
A globally recognized provider of polymer materials, services, and solutions is looking for a Manager of Sales & Marketing to spearhead strategic business development efforts within the U.S. This role is integral to executing the organization’s mid- and long-term growth plans by uncovering, cultivating, and launching new business opportunities in emerging and expanding markets. This position demands an entrepreneurial spirit, proactive engagement, and drive to establish business ventures from the ground up, offering significant visibility and influence within an international framework.
Position Overview
The Manager will lead initiatives focused on strategic business opportunities that align with the company's future expansion goals. Responsibilities include market opportunity assessment, business case formulation, and leading projects through to commercialization. The industry scope spans plastic raw materials, polymer products, new materials, innovative technologies, and solutions requiring adaptive leadership in a developing, early-stage business setting.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify and assess new business prospects consistent with corporate strategic growth targets
- Engage potential customers in fast-growing U.S. markets and build strong relationships
- Lead multidisciplinary teams to drive projects from initial concept through execution
- Develop comprehensive business cases, conduct market research, and devise commercialization strategies
- Oversee project schedules, key milestones, and deliverable tracking
- Collaborate closely with sales, operational units, and corporate departments to facilitate implementation
- Maintain productive partnerships with clients, partners, and suppliers
- Continuously monitor industry trends, novel technologies, and evolving customer requirements
- Document assumptions, risks, and next steps to inform decision-making processes
- Identify potential investment opportunities and manage selected ventures
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong initiative and self-driven attitude towards developing new business opportunities
- Exceptional communication and ability to manage stakeholders
- Capacity to work independently and within cross-functional teams
- Comfort in managing ambiguity and operating in early-stage business environments
- Proven sales experience in plastics, polymers, or chemical materials sectors
- Adept at working in multicultural and international business settings
- Willing to travel up to 50% as part of job requirements

Salary Range: $100,000 to $130,000, dependent upon candidate experience
