The role allows for remote work approximately 20% of the time (one day a week). This role is specialized within Bioscience and focuses on managing product information, taxonomy, digital asset management, and content quality standards to ensure consistent and precise ecommerce experiences across various markets. The position entails ownership of PIM/PCM governance in SAP Commerce Cloud, including managing product attributes, enrichment rules, taxonomy alignment, localization readiness, and digital asset integration, acting as the quality gate for product and content management system-driven content before publication.
Key Responsibilities
- Govern product information management and product content management in SAP Commerce Cloud, focusing on data standards, enrichment rules, attribute completeness, and lifecycle management across the catalog.
- Maintain business rules related to product attributes, filters, facets, and catalog structures to balance customer needs and commercial goals.
- Set and enforce standards for product titles, descriptions, merchandising copy, image requirements, naming conventions, and controlled vocabularies to enhance content quality and uniformity.
- Collaborate with product managers, campaign managers, creative teams, and ecommerce groups to resolve content or imagery gaps, taxonomy inconsistencies, SKU readiness, and manage redirects/backlinks.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor product content completeness and asset coverage, addressing deficiencies in product copy, classification, metadata, and digital assets.
- Oversee and manage product taxonomy, category structures, and classification policies to optimize navigation, SEO alignment, and catalog scalability.
- Lead digital asset governance using DAM platforms such as Picturepark and Fotoware, managing metadata standards, asset readiness, approval workflows, and ecommerce compliance.
- Define product data quality standards and enforce them through routine audits and pre-publication validations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of product and CMS-driven content.
- Coordinate localization efforts for product content, taxonomy, attributes, and assets with regional stakeholders to maintain global standards and accommodate local market needs.
- Validate CMS and product content quality prior to publication, ensuring proper taxonomy alignment, asset associations, metadata completeness, and adherence to content standards.
- Perform minor HTML and markup edits within SAP Commerce Cloud SmartEdit or product components to optimize content layout, data presentation, SEO impact, and accessibility, operating within established templates and standards.
- Work closely with Technology, Marketing, and Ecommerce teams to facilitate data model updates, DAM integration, workflow improvements, and platform enhancements related to content.
- Assess effects of product content, taxonomy, facets, and product detail page structures on SAP Commerce performance including Solr and ERP integration, collaborating with technology and architecture teams to implement scalable, performance-safe solutions.
- Utilize tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to identify optimization opportunities.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required.
Desired Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of product data quality protocols and validation approaches.
- Familiarity with content management system QA, including pre-publication content checks.
- Capability to implement minor HTML and markup adjustments within CMS governed environments.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with technology and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
