The company has created a modular software platform that helps digitize and streamline hospital workflows using modern, easy-to-use technology. Its tools are designed to support hospitals, doctors, and nurses in delivering the best possible treatment.

The company is expanding quickly and is looking to grow both its team and its business to help accelerate the digital transformation of healthcare. Avelios values people from different backgrounds and considers diversity one of its strengths.

You will have access to large medical datasets, advanced models, and powerful computing resources, giving you the chance to influence how AI is used in real healthcare workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the core engineering team to move machine learning solutions into production
  • Develop and train models using large clinical data collections
  • Embed AI-based functionality into medical processes and workflows
  • Use federated learning approaches to support privacy-aware model training
  • Work alongside academic and research partners
  • Use high-performance computing resources to create reliable ML pipelines

Qualifications

  • A degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong programming skills; contributions to GitHub are considered an advantage
  • Practical experience with ML tools such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, and LangChain, plus work with large language models and automatic speech recognition systems
  • Experience producing strong applied ML outcomes, such as publications at major conferences or comparable results in areas like speech recognition or NLP, is a bonus
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and how they can be applied to practical problems
  • Good English communication skills; German language ability is a plus

Benefits

  • Varied work with room to take ownership
  • An international, informal team environment with a start-up feel and the chance to contribute directly to customer growth and company success
  • Practical experience in a startup supported by leading international venture capital investors
  • Ongoing learning opportunities and feedback to support your development
  • Flexible working hours and trust-based time tracking
  • Virtual stock options to participate in the company’s long-term value creation
  • A monthly meal allowance of up to 75 euros, full coverage of the Deutschlandticket, access to Urban Sports Club or a subsidized Wellpass membership, bike leasing, and Corporate Benefits discounts across many providers
