Overview
Join the newly established Siemens Energy factory in Dammam as a pivotal Logistics Professional. Your key role will involve designing and refining logistics and customs frameworks crucial for smooth operations. This position suits seasoned logistics specialists experienced with customs regulations and warehouse management, capable of tackling complex issues independently. You will become part of a cooperative team that prizes accountability and initiative, contributing directly to efficiency improvements, timely production support, and advancing Siemens Energy's goals of providing dependable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, working closely with freight forwarders and transportation partners.
- Manage inventory control of raw materials and finished products utilizing SAP and Warehouse Management Systems.
- Develop and enhance logistics processes related to material handling, storage, and distribution within the facility.
- Evaluate logistics performance data to identify areas for operational improvements and cost savings.
- Generate and oversee all shipping and logistics documentation ensuring compliance with customs standards.
- Serve as the main liaison for customs brokers and authorities, promptly resolving any document inconsistencies or clearance delays.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Between 5 to 8 years experience in logistics operations, specifically handling customs documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing or industrial factory logistics highly preferred.
- Demonstrated capacity to independently address complex customs and logistics challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian customs processes and proficient use of SAP software.
- Strong analytical abilities, negotiation skills, and problem-solving competencies combined with a professional approach and accountability.
