Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Linguistic Expert fluent in both Lingala and English to undertake complex transcription and language analysis tasks remotely on a contract basis. This role involves detailed transcription of Lingala video content and evaluation of language nuances to support AI language model development.

Key Responsibilities

Produce precise transcriptions of video materials in Lingala, ensuring a faithful representation of the spoken dialogue.
Annotate timestamps while noting emotional undertones and speaker intentions present in the content.
Critically assess grammar, tone, and language constructs in both Lingala and English segments.
Clarify and expand on conceptual meanings of terms and expressions, capturing cultural and contextual subtleties.
Engage in sophisticated linguistic assignments aimed at training and improving AI language systems.
Collaborate with client teams to guarantee high-quality outputs aligned with project requirements.

Candidate Requirements

Fluency at a native or near-native level in Lingala and English with advanced communication proficiency.

Compensation and Commitment

This contract position offers an hourly wage ranging from $45 to $95. Candidates can expect to commit between 10 to 40 hours weekly while working remotely.
