Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Linguistic Expert fluent in both Lingala and English to undertake complex transcription and language analysis tasks remotely on a contract basis. This role involves detailed transcription of Lingala video content and evaluation of language nuances to support AI language model development.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce precise transcriptions of video materials in Lingala, ensuring a faithful representation of the spoken dialogue.
• Annotate timestamps while noting emotional undertones and speaker intentions present in the content.
• Critically assess grammar, tone, and language constructs in both Lingala and English segments.
• Clarify and expand on conceptual meanings of terms and expressions, capturing cultural and contextual subtleties.

Candidate Requirements

• Fluency at a native or near-native level in Lingala and English with advanced communication proficiency.

Compensation and Commitment

This contract position offers an hourly wage ranging from $45 to $95. Candidates can expect to commit between 10 to 40 hours weekly while working remotely.
