Linen Porter - Babington House

Role overview

Soho House is hiring a Linen Porter to help keep the club running to a consistently high standard. This position focuses on the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of linen and laundry items, while also supporting the housekeeping and spa teams so members and guests receive smooth, attentive service.

Key duties

• Deliver clean linen, towels, robes, and similar items to the areas that need them, including guest bedrooms, spa spaces, gym areas, and changing rooms.
• Gather used or soiled linen and move it to the laundry area or to the handover point for an external laundry provider.
• Keep linen storage spaces tidy, organised, and fully replenished.
• Inspect incoming laundry deliveries for correctness and quality, and flag any missing or damaged items.
• Assist housekeeping and spa teams with extra stock when demand is high.
• Take part in daily and weekly stock checks and share linen usage updates with the Head Housekeeper.
• Make sure trolleys, baskets, and related equipment stay clean, working properly, and safely stored.
• Follow health and safety rules and manual handling procedures at all times.
• Handle urgent linen and towel requests from departments quickly and politely.

Compensation

The UK pay range for this role is £15 to £15 per hour. Pay in other locations may differ depending on market conditions.
