Lightning Protection Technician - Munster

Role overview

LPI Group is looking for Lightning Protection Technicians to join its project operations on international assignments. Working closely with the project manager and site supervisor, you will help plan, coordinate, and deliver lightning protection work across a range of sites.

The position focuses on installing lightning protection and earthing systems on structures used in private, public, industrial, commercial, and data centre environments. It is a hands-on role with the chance to contribute directly to the business’s continued success.

Key duties

• Fit lightning protection and earthing systems on data centres and various tall structures, following pre-prepared schemes, drawings, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Carry out improvements and upgrades to existing lightning protection installations according to the instructions provided.
• Prepare and submit all required company documentation, such as point-of-work risk assessments, job sheets, marked-up drawings, material schedules, and timesheets, and send them back to the office team.
• Communicate professionally with clients and project managers on site, representing the company in a positive manner.
• Work with a constant focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance to ensure all activities are performed safely and within required standards.

What you need

• Previous experience in the construction sector or a similar working environment is required.
• Experience on commercial and industrial projects is needed.
• Electrical experience is helpful, though not mandatory.
• Strong troubleshooting ability, along with good communication and teamwork skills.
• Solid understanding of health and safety rules, procedures, and the EQHS Management System.
• Fluent English is required; additional language skills in German, Dutch, French, or Spanish would be an advantage.
• Valid Safe Pass certification.
• Manual Handling training.
• Working at Height training.
• IPAF training.
