Role Overview
This position is based at Al Najada Doha Hotel by Tivoli in Doha, Qatar. The hotel is part of Minor Hotels, a global hospitality group with more than 530 properties across over 50 countries in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, the Indian Ocean, Europe, and South America, operating under brands such as Anantara, Avani, Elewana, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow, and Tivoli.
Key Responsibilities
The lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff within the assigned pool and swimming areas during business hours.
The role requires active supervision of the swimming zone and immediate response to emergencies within the hotel or resort aquatic areas.
The position also involves keeping rescue boat support available whenever required and handling other related tasks assigned by management.
Safety and Pool Preparedness
Before and during operating hours, the lifeguard must ensure all safety measures are properly arranged around the pool area. This includes positioning flotation devices along the shoreline or pool edge, displaying the correct flag, placing the first aid kit, publishing the operating hours, and confirming that pool depth information as well as water and air temperature details are clearly shown.
The lifeguard must also be fully prepared to act in emergencies and maintain readiness of all essential rescue equipment at all times.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a valid lifeguard certification and be authorized to perform artificial respiration and CPR. Previous experience of 2 to 5 years in a similar role is required.
Applicants should have strong English communication skills, a pleasant personality, the ability to work under pressure, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
