Role overview
Spread Your Wings LLC is hiring a full-time Independent Living Life Skills Coach to support adults with developmental disabilities in the Sunnyvale, North Santa Clara, and Mountain View areas. This position is based on-site and is intended for someone who enjoys helping people build confidence, independence, and everyday living abilities.
Work schedule and location
The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule, typically from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, with occasional Saturday work. You will need to travel and work throughout Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and North Santa Clara.
What the role involves
- Guide clients in practical independent living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and personal hygiene.
- Motivate and support individuals facing developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
- Help clients plan and structure weekly goals and routines.
- Record client progress through case notes and quarterly reports.
- Spend most of the workday in the field with clients, with a smaller portion devoted to administrative work and documentation.
- Work alongside program managers, regional center coordinators, and training staff.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and dependable transportation are required.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is necessary.
- You must be able to commute and work across the Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and North Santa Clara areas.
- You should be able to pass a background check in line with state industry standards.
- Basic computer skills are needed, including MS Word, email, and simple data entry.

- You are dependable and comfortable adapting to different client needs and flexible schedules.
- You can work independently in one-on-one settings.
- Experience in behavioral health is helpful but not mandatory.
Compensation and benefits
- The pay is $22 per hour.
- Day-shift work is expected, with Monday to Friday scheduling and occasional Saturday coverage.
- Employees receive team support, training, and opportunities for growth and advancement.
