Overview
Join Qatar Airways as a Licensed Aircraft Engineer Level II to support maintenance for the Qatar Executive fleet, specializing in Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft. The role involves both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance ensuring aircraft availability and compliance with Qatar Civil Aviation Authority regulations to guarantee flight safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to support operations of the Qatar Executive commercial fleet.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the maintenance team, allocating resources such as materials and tooling to meet task requirements.
- Oversee inspections and prioritize defect rectifications; optimize personnel skill utilization.
- Proactively resolve defects while upholding safety, regulatory, and company standards.
- Report potential issues impacting aircraft or cabin system serviceability.
- Authorize final work releases ensuring compliance with Qatar Executive standards regarding aircraft availability and reliability.
- Review and improve work procedures, equipment, and standards to enhance effectiveness.
- Support other Qatar Executive departments in maintenance planning and provide specialist assistance to Maintenance, CAMO, and Engineering teams.
- Travel on short notice for aircraft troubleshooting and defect resolution.
- Guide and train technicians and mechanics on the job.
- Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and suppliers to resolve operational defects and problems.
- Ensure delivery meets quality standards for aircraft reliability and appearance.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Aircraft Maintenance, Trade, or Vocational Aircraft Maintenance.
- Possession of a Qatar Executive main fleet ICAO type II / EASA Part 66 B1 / QCAA license with necessary approvals.
- At least 5 years of aircraft certifying experience relevant to the role.
- Current certifying authorization with an EASA or TCCA Part 145 organization.
- Experience with corporate jet aircraft type ratings, preferably on a type included in Qatar Executive's licensed fleet.
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance principles relevant to job function.
- Ability to make clear decisions under pressure and work independently or collaboratively.
- Proficient in interpreting and applying technical manuals and documentation.
- Strong communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English.
