Job description

Position summary

Bentley Systems is looking for a License Compliance Specialist to drive software compliance programs across the Middle East and the broader EMEA region. The role focuses on protecting intellectual property, confirming that customers are using software in line with licensing terms, and supporting revenue recovery through both formal and informal customer engagement. You will partner closely with legal, sales, finance, and channel teams to strengthen compliance efforts while maintaining trusted customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and run a regional license compliance approach that supports the company’s global goals.
  • Manage the full pipeline for compliance activity and contribute to revenue growth across the Middle East and wider EMEA markets.
  • Work with internal and external partners, including legal advisers, technical specialists, and sales teams.
  • Research and develop non-compliance cases using Bentley systems and data sources such as Snowflake, Salesforce, usage reports, and publicly available information.
  • Identify accounts and markets with elevated risk and take action early to reduce compliance exposure.
  • Apply practical measures to curb piracy, unlicensed use, and breaches of licensing terms.
  • Coordinate with sales, legal, and finance teams to uncover and support compliance-driven revenue opportunities.
  • Engage with local authorities to understand how regional laws can support compliance conversations and enforcement efforts.
  • Work with local intellectual property law firms to determine the most effective approach for resolving EULA violations.
  • Define KPIs for revenue programs and provide regular updates to global leadership on progress, risk, and outcomes.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent mix of training and relevant experience is required.
  • Between 1 and 3 years of experience in software license compliance, license audit management, IP protection, or a similar area.
  • Good understanding of software licensing structures, cloud subscription models, and intellectual property law.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict-handling, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Solid commercial judgement, with the ability to balance enforcement needs against customer relationship management.
  • High personal integrity, a strategic approach, and the ability to work effectively in complex matrix organizations.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
