About the Role
Bentley Systems is looking for a visionary and inventive leader in community marketing to spearhead the next stage of its community engagement initiatives. Based in Dublin, Ireland, this hybrid role entails crafting a comprehensive strategy and operational framework to engage a diverse ecosystem comprising users, developers, and technical audiences. The role extends beyond managing a single platform to a broader understanding of user gathering points across owned and external channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Bentley's community vision into an actionable strategy and schedule.
- Gain in-depth insights into Bentley’s users and technical audience engagement locations, spanning owned digital spaces and external groups.
- Integrate multiple community facets, including the Communities Hub, developer programs, peer groups, events, and advocacy activities into a cohesive ecosystem.
- Collaborate with social media teams to identify and engage relevant social communities authentically and strategically.
- Establish the Communities Hub as a primary resource center for content, interaction, and program participation.
- Build community strategies that support user acquisition, education, engagement, and nurturing long-term relationships.
- Act as the corporate marketing liaison for developer community engagement, partnering with product and technical teams.
- Scale and connect developer-focused initiatives such as DevDays and hackathons.
- Enhance the developer experience by creating clearer pathways to resources and foster technical audience engagement.
- Investigate the application of AI to improve community personalization, content delivery, support, and insights.
- Lead community-led programs including digital engagement, user groups, meetups, and in-person events, ensuring their alignment with customer engagement targets.
- Direct and mentor a small, high-impact team managing community programming and platform experiences.
- Leverage community data and feedback to inform strategic decisions and product engagement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Over 10 years of experience in community marketing, developer engagement, platform strategy, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in building and evolving community ecosystems that encompass owned platforms and external technical communities.
- Proven collaboration skills with social, content, product, and advocacy teams to engage diverse audiences.
- Experience in platform, SaaS, open ecosystem, or technical developer environments is advantageous.
- Experience delivering developer-focused programs such as hackathons, meetups, and community platforms.
- Familiarity with AI applications in enhancing digital communities and personalized engagement.
- Strong leadership capabilities to operate effectively within ambiguous environments, refine strategies, and drive team execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to elevate community as a strategic priority.
