Role Competencies

The role demands strong claims adjustment skills combined with proactive business development. Effective file management and organizational skills are critical to balancing daily tasks with client needs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and OneDrive.
  • Experience in Casualty, Bodily Injury, and Liability Property Damage claims handling preferred.
  • Advanced communication abilities: clear written and oral communication tailored to varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple competing demands.
  • Strong relationship-building and leadership capabilities.
  • Customer service focus with a proactive, positive engagement style.
  • Ability to navigate conflict and challenging situations effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree or related post-secondary education in insurance is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Possession of CIP designation or actively pursuing it.
  • Holding an Adjuster's license or completion of the first four CIP courses: Principles and Practice of Insurance, Insurance on Property, Insurance Against Liability-Part 1, Automobile Insurance-Part 1, with Essentials of Loss Adjusting as a plus.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and perform advanced numerical analysis.

Compensation

Annual salary ranging from CAD 56,300 to 78,100.
