Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our expanding finance team remotely within the US. The role involves managing daily vendor invoice processing and payments, ensuring precision, promptness, and robust financial controls as the US segment grows. This is an ideal role for a reliable finance professional who excels in a dynamic, mission-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and promptly process vendor invoices, confirming correct account coding, approvals, and documentation.
- Oversee the entire accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment completion.
- Reconcile statements with vendors and address discrepancies collaboratively.
- Execute payment runs including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date vendor records and aid in onboarding new vendors.
- Contribute to month-end closing tasks including accounts payable accruals and reconciliations.
- Support processing of employee expense reports and reconcile corporate card transactions.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Assist in refining accounts payable procedures, internal controls, and documentation standards.
- Provide documentation and schedules to support audit processes.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles.
- Good knowledge of accounts payable procedures, general ledger coding, and fundamental accounting concepts.
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or equivalents.
- Strong detail orientation and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently meet deadlines in a remote working environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in medical device, life sciences, manufacturing, or startup sectors.
- Experience handling multi-entity or international accounting operations.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Understanding of SOX compliance or audit-ready control frameworks.
