Job description
Overview
This is a one-time, paid, project-based consulting engagement for seasoned professionals in contract lifecycle management and commercial contracting. The work is remote and designed for U.S.-based experts who can share practical, firsthand knowledge without any prior preparation.
The assignment involves a recorded, AI-led video interview of about 30 minutes, where you will explain how you handle real contract operations work in practice. This is not a full-time position.
Engagement Details
- Type of engagement: one-time, project-based interview on a contract basis
- Work setup: remote
- Location requirement: U.S.-based experts only
- Estimated compensation: $135 per hour, prorated for the 30-minute task
- Participants manage their own schedule and use their own tools to complete the interview
- This engagement may be combined with other opportunities if you choose
What You Will Discuss
The interview is centered on how you work in real situations, especially in the following areas:
- Tracking contractual obligations, renewal dates, notice periods, milestones, deliverables, and other audit-sensitive terms
- Managing post-signature workflows such as auto-renewals, notices, amendments, change orders, and contract repository maintenance
- Addressing possible breaches, unclear clauses, cure periods, dispute notices, waivers, terminations, and escalation to litigation when appropriate
- Keeping contract records organized, documenting decisions, setting alerts, maintaining audit trails, and ensuring business owners remain accountable
You should be able to describe step-by-step workflows for obligation tracking after signature, renewal handling, amendment processing, breach response, and contract dispute escalation.
Candidate Profile
Ideal participants have deep, hands-on experience and can speak confidently from real-world practice. Responses should be detailed, specific, and based on actual work rather than theory.
- 7 or more years of experience in CLM, commercial contracts, contract operations, renewal management, obligation management, or dispute handling
- Direct experience with post-signature obligations, renewals, amendments, breach situations, and escalation processes
- Exposure to decisions involving ownership of obligations, notice timing, renewal strategy, amendment approvals, breach handling, cure periods, waiver choices, and litigation escalation
- Ability to explain reasoning, workflows, and decision paths clearly and in detail
- Experience operating in a live business environment and owning these processes directly
- Comfort working with legal, business, finance, compliance, security, procurement, product, engineering, and outside counsel teams as needed
- Familiarity with CLM and business tools such as Ironclad, Icertis, DocuSign CLM, Conga, Salesforce, Jira, ServiceNow, SharePoint, Excel, and DocuSign
Interview Process
The session is structured to draw out detailed, experience-based explanations of how you actually perform the work and make decisions. The emphasis is on practical examples and operational depth.
Data Use and Privacy
After the interview is completed, your video recording, transcript, and AI-generated insights will be shared with an internal research team and an AI lab partner. This information will be used to build a structured task list for the profession and to support AI model improvement.
Additional Information
Please note that hourly compensation is only an estimate based on the expected completion time for the task.
