Legal Counsel

Overview

This contract role is for a Legal Counsel who will work remotely, dedicating 10 to 40 hours per week. The compensation ranges from $90 to $130 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and enhance contract negotiation playbooks based on various practical situations and organizational needs.
• Draft, assess, and annotate multiple types of commercial agreements, ensuring they are clear, accurate, and compliant with industry standards.
• Offer expert advice on best practices related to contract management and negotiations.
• Gather and deliver non-confidential, eligible transaction documents to support project documentation objectives.
• Assess and improve current contract templates to boost efficiency and minimize risks.
• Collaborate with the micro1 team to ensure provided materials align with project standards and AI training requirements.
• Provide thorough written and oral feedback to improve the system's comprehension and outputs.

Requirements

• Current or prior experience as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with significant involvement in contract negotiation playbooks.
• Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts in corporate settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, emphasizing precision and clarity.
• In-depth understanding of standard contract review procedures and risk evaluation.
• Experience creating or using company-focused contract negotiation playbooks.
• Familiarity with document-driven projects, including sourcing and submitting appropriate materials.
• Capability to work autonomously and deliver clear, actionable feedback for AI training.
