Role overview

Dexory is hiring a US-based Legal Counsel to join a compact in-house legal function made up of the General Counsel and a Legal & Compliance Assistant. This position is a permanent, hands-on generalist role with a strong emphasis on commercial contracting for the US and North America. You will work closely with customers, suppliers, Procurement, IT and other internal teams, and will play an active part in negotiations and wider business support.

The role is remote within the US, but candidates must already have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of customer and supplier agreements for the US and North American market, and act as the primary negotiator in commercial discussions.
• Partner with Procurement, IT and other functions to assess supplier terms, review risk, obtain the necessary approvals and support procurement-related legal work.
• Help ensure Dexory’s activities and operations remain aligned with applicable laws and regulations across the company’s markets.
• Contribute to the creation, rollout and ongoing support of compliance programmes and training across the business.
• Assist the General Counsel with disputes, litigation matters and other legal proceedings involving the company.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing with at least one US state.
• Proven experience handling commercial contracts and negotiations is essential.
• Background as an in-house lawyer, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly and offer practical, business-focused guidance to non-legal stakeholders.
• Comfort working under pressure, balancing multiple priorities and operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Preferred experience

• Working knowledge of US employment law, including right-to-work verification and visa sponsorship procedures.
• Exposure to employment law issues across several international jurisdictions.
