Overview
This position involves providing comprehensive legal advice and support related to corporate, commercial, banking, and investment issues to ensure the organization adheres to legal and corporate governance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting, evaluating, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, procurement agreements, financing deals, and property transactions.
- Managing legal risks associated with day-to-day business operations.
- Supporting corporate deals including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, and financing through thorough legal due diligence and documentation preparation.
- Handling corporate secretarial duties, maintaining global entity compliance, and managing governance documentation.
- Providing advice on regulatory developments across different jurisdictions.
- Developing compliance policies and delivering legal awareness training for staff.
- Managing relationships with external legal advisors.
- Offering guidance on employment law, data privacy, and intellectual property.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is a certified lawyer with seven to nine years of experience post-qualification, preferably with prior in-house legal exposure. Strong knowledge in corporate and commercial law, contract oversight, compliance, and international legal matters is essential.
