About the Role
Join our collaborative and diligent GB Legal team, where you'll work alongside the Associate Director, Legal – Employment, and key business stakeholders to handle a broad variety of legal issues.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide advice on everyday employment laws and employee relations, including managing flexible working requests and data subject access requests.
- Assist with complex disciplinary actions, grievance procedures, absence management, and organizational restructuring.
- Oversee and support all stages of employment tribunal claims, coordinating with external legal counsel.
- Draft and review HR-related policies, employment contracts, and settlement agreements.
- Contribute to Code of Conduct matters and internal investigations.
- Support legal projects and legislative updates, such as those related to the forthcoming Employment Rights Act 2025.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 1 to 3 years post-qualification experience specializing in employment law.
- Solid understanding of employment law, especially related to collective consultation and TUPE regulations.
- Practical experience with Employment Tribunal proceedings.
- Experience collaborating effectively with HR and Employee Relations teams.
- Strong communication skills, including precise drafting capabilities.
- Able to build relationships, provide practical legal guidance, prioritize tasks efficiently, and work cooperatively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience dealing with labour relations in unionized environments, including managing European Works Councils.
- Familiarity with international companies, particularly across Europe, and handling cross-border legal matters.
