Position Summary
VESLA MOTORS L.L.C is looking to recruit a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Assistant based in Dubai, UAE. This full-time role requires a candidate with comprehensive knowledge of the UAE legal framework, specifically experienced with Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Union Federal Court procedures. The successful applicant will efficiently manage legal filings, documentation, and case coordination with minimal oversight.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit civil and criminal case filings in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Union (Federal) Courts.
- Draft a variety of legal documents such as complaints, petitions, memorandums, and powers of attorney (POAs).
- Engage with court clerks, public prosecutors, police, and related legal authorities to facilitate case management.
- Track court case updates, hearing dates, deadlines using UAE legal portals including Dubai Courts e-services, ADJD, and Ministry of Justice platforms.
- Organize and maintain case files ensuring compliance with UAE legal standards.
- Coordinate with clients for document approvals, signatures, and timely updates on case progress.
- Translate legal documents as necessary and prepare correspondence in Arabic and English.
- Conduct legal research and aid in trial and hearing preparation.
- Assist with licensing, notarization, and attestation of documents when required.
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related legal discipline preferred.
- At least 3 years of prior experience working within the UAE legal system.
- Deep familiarity with court procedures across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Union Federal Courts.
- Proficient in using UAE courts' electronic services platforms.
- Fluency in Arabic is essential; proficiency in English is desirable.
- Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously requiring minimal supervision.
- Possession of a UAE driving license is a plus.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Public Prosecution processes in the UAE.
- Experience managing criminal case documentation and police complaint filings.
- Understanding of UAE laws concerning company formation, contracts, labor, and tenancy issues.
Working Conditions
This position requires a schedule from Monday to Saturday based in Dubai. Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualification.
