Role Overview
The Legal Advisor will oversee the company's legal, regulatory, and corporate affairs functions. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws and regulations to identify potential risks and opportunities and to ensure compliance and governance alignment with organizational goals.
Team Collaboration
The successful candidate will operate within the dynamic and agile environment of Solutions Valley, collaborating closely with departments such as finance, operations, and human resources to integrate legal considerations with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer the organization’s legal, regulatory, and corporate affairs.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Analyze legal and regulatory environments to detect risk areas and opportunities, implementing corresponding changes.
- Design and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
- Oversee relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory agencies.
- Provide ongoing legal counsel and support throughout the organization.
- Partner with various departments to harmonize legal strategies with business aims.
- Lead crisis management and business continuity initiatives.
- Perform legal and governance duties related to the Board and committee operations, including reviewing resolutions, minutes, and other governance documents.
Experience and Skills Required
- At least seven years of experience dealing with legal and regulatory matters.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry benchmarks.
- Strong analytical capacity and sound decision-making aptitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven leadership and skills in team management.
- Competence in handling complex legal scenarios.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in law or a closely related discipline.
Preferred: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized law school.
