Role Overview

A leading law practice with operations in Ireland, the UK and the USA is looking for a proactive Legal Administrator/Receptionist to join its Cork office. The position combines legal administration, compliance support and client-facing reception duties, helping keep busy workstreams running efficiently and the office operating smoothly each day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the legal team with day-to-day administration and oversee matters through the full file lifecycle.
  • Help prepare letters, with training provided where needed, and follow up on AML-related items.
  • Handle file archiving, billing coordination, diary management and preparation of materials for meetings.
  • Keep records accurate, current and properly maintained.
  • Work closely with both internal colleagues and external contacts.
  • Cover reception when needed, including welcoming visitors and setting up meeting rooms.
  • Maintain a polished client experience, including refreshments and meeting room readiness.
  • Assist with deeds, wills safes, banking tasks, posting and general office support.
  • Provide flexible support across teams, including new homes work during busy periods.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience working as a Legal Secretary or Legal Administrator is required.
  • Background supporting several stakeholders in a legal office is important.
  • Exposure to case management software and billing systems would be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational ability and comfort handling a wide variety of tasks are essential.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a strong sense of confidentiality are needed.
  • The right person will be positive, adaptable and focused on client service.
