About the Role and Team
Kennedys is seeking a Legal Administrator to join their Professional Liability and Cyber team in Manchester. This role involves managing and updating multiple spreadsheets related to collateral warranties, handling postal correspondence, organizing documents within the client case management systems by uploading, downloading, and renaming files. The position also includes assembling court bundles, tracking important dates and deadlines, coordinating with the team to meet client requirements, and general administrative tasks within a paperless office environment.
The Professional Liability team at Kennedys specializes in complex dispute management and providing strategic coverage advice to insurer clients. They handle claims across diverse areas of professional liability, addressing cases involving major global financial institutions, leading law firms, top accounting firms, and various regional and local insurers.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately manage the electronic filing of documents.
- Adhere to the firm's quality control procedures and information security protocols as outlined in the current Quality Procedures manual.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all client and practice-related documentation and data.
- Conduct electronic file closures and archiving as necessary, supporting retrieval of archived files when needed.
Required Experience and Skills
- Previous work experience within a professional services environment or legal partnership.
- Proficient IT literacy with the ability to handle various digital tools.
