Lecturer - Sport and Fitness

Overview

UHI Perth, a prominent Further and Higher Education institution in Scotland and a part of the University of the Highlands and Islands, seeks a passionate Lecturer in Sport and Fitness. This permanent part-time role involves 17.5 hours per week (0.5 Full-Time Equivalent) based onsite in Perth, Scotland. The salary range for this position is £41,833 to £50,359 annually, pro-rated, with a pay award anticipated on 1 September 2026.

Role Expectations

The successful candidate will deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences across a variety of courses stretching from Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Level 5 up to Level 10. These courses include programmes ranging from school-level to honours degrees within sport and fitness disciplines.

Qualifications & Experience

We invite applicants with experience or qualifications in fitness and physical activity, particularly those holding CIMSPA membership and accredited status. While candidates from all sporting disciplines are encouraged to apply, expertise in fitness is especially valued. Current up-to-date skills and relevant occupational experience are essential.
