About the Role

Join the College of Health at Adelaide University's City West campus as a part-time (0.2 FTE) continuing Lecturer specializing in Pharmacist Prescribing Clinical Skills. This position offers a salary range between $117,100 and $138,515 pro rata per annum, plus 17% superannuation. In this role, you will shape the future of pharmacist consulting by enhancing community healthcare access.

Role Purpose

As the Pharmacist Prescribing Clinical Skills Lead, you will be responsible for equipping emerging pharmacists with essential clinical reasoning, communication, and patient examination skills necessary for delivering safe and high-quality care. Your duties will include clinical skills teaching, facilitating simulation-based learning, and leading assessment activities, particularly in delivering the Graduate Certificate in Pharmacy Prescribing. This position also supports the expansion of pharmacy services.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary work environment with excellent communication and organizational skills, functioning effectively as part of a team
  • Experience using online learning management systems and related information technologies to enhance student learning
  • Student-centered educational approach, including a capacity to provide and respond to descriptive feedback

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in tertiary-level course coordination and innovative teaching methods
  • Previous clinical practice experience in Australia with knowledge of current clinical resources ensuring teaching materials reflect best practice
  • Formal qualifications or knowledge in health professions education and relevant educational pedagogy
