Role Overview
As a Learning Design Senior Specialist for BCG U, you will help shape and improve learning content so it stays current, engaging, and aligned with client priorities and modern learning practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Refresh and maintain tailored learning solutions so they reflect changing business priorities and emerging trends.
- Design learning experiences such as self-paced modules, masterclasses, role plays, and simulations using established learning and behavior-change approaches.
- Work closely with subject matter experts and external vendors to build strong learning assets.
- Support the standardization, customization, and modernization of learning materials across multiple programs.
What You Can Do Well
- Turn complex business and role needs into practical, outcome-focused learning approaches.
- Spot capability gaps and create learner-centered solutions based on behavioral science and adult learning theory.
- Build learning journeys that improve engagement, retention, and real-world application.
- Handle learning design projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through prototyping and final delivery.
- Create strong digital learning content using authoring tools, video editing software, and visual design applications.
- Develop interactive formats such as simulations, videos, and infographics that make learning more engaging.
- Prepare clear enablement materials for facilitators and client teams so delivery and adoption are smooth and effective.
What You'll Bring
- 4 to 6 years of instructional design experience.
- Working knowledge of learning science and its application in adult learning.
- Experience developing curricula and assessments.
- Background in creating ILT, VILT, WBT, micro-learning, and social learning programs.
- Strong ability to review learning deliverables with a sharp eye for quality.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong relationship-building skills with subject matter experts and vendor partners.
- Experience working in international markets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Slack, Trello, or similar project management tools.
- Practical experience using generative AI tools.
- Consulting experience with cross-functional client teams to diagnose needs, design scalable solutions, and provide advisory support that leads to measurable business impact.
