Leadership and Management Project Management Assessor

Role overview

This full-time permanent assessor position is based from home in Wales and involves fieldwork visiting learners in the workplace. The role focuses on evaluating, guiding, and supporting apprentices as they work through leadership, management, and project management qualifications.

The post offers reduced hours for consideration, Monday to Friday working, and is suited to someone with practical experience in leadership, management, and/or project management. Prior assessment qualifications are not mandatory at the outset, but the successful candidate must be willing to work toward them after joining.

What the role involves

You will support learners on Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management, Level 3 Apprenticeship, and Levels 4 and 5 Higher Apprenticeships in Leadership and Management. The role also includes helping learners work toward the Essential Skills qualification in Digital Literacy.

As the assessor, you will plan assessments, give clear feedback, monitor learner progress, and keep regular contact with learners, mentors, and employers so that progress and achievement are tracked throughout the programme.

The role is home-based but requires travel to learners at their workplace. Caseloads are assigned according to the successful applicant’s location, generally within about a 50-mile radius, although travel beyond this area may occasionally be needed. Applicants are expected to be based in North Wales.

Experience and suitability

Applicants should have experience gained in leadership and/or management, as well as project management. A background in supporting learners, training, assessment, or quality assurance would be helpful, but not essential if the candidate has substantial occupational experience and is open to training.
