Job description
Overview
Join a leading Welsh training provider delivering funded programmes such as Traineeships, Apprenticeships, Employability Skills, and the Jobs Growth Wales Plus initiative. This permanent, full-time role based in Blackwood, Cwmbran, and Newport is scheduled Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm with early finish on Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers throughout South Wales to secure job opportunities and work placements for programme participants.
- Match learners to suitable work placements and employment positions to enhance their employability and develop their skills and confidence.
- Conduct visits to employers to assess health and safety compliance and ensure positive work experience for both participants and employers.
- Provide ongoing support by regularly checking in with both employers and participants, resolving issues and offering assistance when needed.
- Participate in community events and job fairs to promote services and engage potential learners and employers.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with unemployed adults and young people, ideally in recruitment, youth support, or youth work sectors.
- Strong customer service skills with a natural ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS background check and register with the EWWC as part of the onboarding process (cost covered by employer).
